Australia A-League -- Brisbane Roar VS Sydney FC

Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups& H2H Stats

Brisbane Roar lose pair Jamie Young and Dane Ingham following their red cards in the eventful 4-3 loss to Adelaide Utd.

Luke Ivanovic was substituted off early for Sydney FC in the last round and is doubtful.

Brisbane Roar

Suspended: Jamie Young, Dane Ingham

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Brett Holman (knee), Stefan Mauk (groin)

Sydney FC

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Luke Ivanovic (unspecified)

Injured/unavailable: Trent Buhagiar (anterior cruciate ligament); Siem de Jong, Chris Zuvela (both knee); Anthony Caceres (calf), Jacob Tratt (groin)

Ninth-placed Brisbane Roar have slumped to a horrible 12-game winless run, where they have only managed three draws throughout too, losing the other nine league matches. In the last round they surrendered a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 to Adelaide Utd, smashing any semblance of belief or confidence.

Third-placed Sydney FC are only five points behind leaders Perth Glory to make it four wins and only one loss from their past five league matches. Last round’s 2-0 home win over Melbourne City got them back in the winners’ circle after losing 2-1 to Melbourne Victory on the road. The Sky Blues’ away record is good with five wins, two draws and two defeats from nine trips in league action.

It is hard to look past Sydney FC in this one given their ladder standings and form.

Brisbane Roar possess the worst first-half record in the Australian top flight, while Sydney FC are among the top echelon with eight first-half wins, four first-half draws and five first-half losses. I'm backing the Sky Blues to hit the scoresheet first.

Sydney FC have won three of their past four league meetings, although Brisbane Roar won the other league encounter in Sydney 2-1 last season, so nothing is impossible.
