Bristol City's Korey Smith, Niki Maenpaa and Jack Hunt are all sidelined with injuries. The club could also be without Marley Watkins and Liam Walsh, who are both doubts.

QPR defenders Angel Rangel and Geoff Cameron will be assessed ahead of their midweek trip to Ashton Gate.

Bristol City continued their march up the league table with another win at the weekend, as Eros Pisano’s late goal in the 80th minute was enough to give the in-form Robins a 1-0 triumph at Blackburn. That was City’s sixth straight victory in league action, with the club moving on to 50 points from 30 league games. Lee Johnson’s men occupy the final playoff spot at present.

QPR’s momentum has halted somewhat, with Rangers winning only one of their last seven league matches, drawing two and losing their last four. Last weekend, Steve McClaren’s men found themselves 4-1 down at half time at home against Birmingham, eventually losing 4-3. The Londoners have slipped down to 15th position, 11 points adrift of sixth-placed Bristol City.

Johnson’s Robins have been flying of late, winning eight and drawing four of their last 12 matches in the league. I’m backing Bristol City to claim a seventh successive league triumph in midweek.

Bristol City have scored the opening goal in seven of their last eight outings in the league. Put some money on the hosts to score the first goal at Ashton Gate again.

Bristol City are unbeaten in their last four league encounters against QPR, winning three and drawing one. In the reverse league fixture earlier this season, City won 3-0 at Loftus Road.
