MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Djurgardens are still unbeaten having secured four points from their first two league matches. They impressed during their 3-0 league win away to Orebro in the last round. They were better in every department and showed that on their day they can compete with the top teams in the league. New full back Aslak Witry scored twice and striker Mohamed Buya Turay once. Djurgardens played a 4-3-3 system with Astrit Ajdarevic acting as playmaker and Nicklas Barkroth and Jonathan Ring providing width while Buya Turay created space up front. New Djurgardens manager Kim Bergstrand has a clear idea on how he wants the team to play and he is getting there. Wins like this give confidence to a squad who have a new look with several players having arrived after last season.

Goteborg fell to a disappointing and humiliating 3-1 league defeat away at AFC Eskilstuna on their opening day. They played better against Elfsborg in round two and managed to win, 3-0. The team have resigned their former star striker Lasse Vibe, which is bound to give them a boost. The Dane left the club for Brentford in 2015 and now returns after a disappointing stint in China. His experience is much needed for a team who due to limited resources have had to rely on youngsters and free transfers. Vibe looks like the perfect replacement for Tobias Hysen who retired after last season.

Goteborg are expected to be up and down this season due to their young and inexperienced squad, especially away from home where they were the fourth worst team last year. Djurgardens will go into this league game full of confidence after their fine performance against Orebro. In Ajdarevic and Buya Turay they have two very creative players that should cause a lot of trouble for Goteborg. I expect the hosts to win.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST HALF HAD - HOME WIN

Djurgardens have scored the first goal in both of their league games this season and have been leading at half time on both occasions, too. Expect them to be ahead after 45 minutes once again.

HEAD TO HEAD

Djurgardens have won five straight league encounters against Goteborg.
