Tosu will have Hideto Takahashi suspended for this game after he saw two yellow cards last weekend. They are without Hiroto Ishikawa until around August after knee surgery. Tosu played a strong team away at Kashiwa Reysol (J2) in the League Cup in midweek and won 1-0 on a goal from Riki Harakawa. Fernando Torres was not even on the bench.

Jubilo's Takuma Ominami is suspended for this one after seeing a straight red card last week. Kentaro Moriya will miss at least another month with a thigh problem. Jubilo fielded a lot of reserves and youngsters in midweek's League Cup game and went down 1-0 to local rivals Shimizu S-Pulse.

Suspended: Hideto Takahashi (one game)

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Hiroto Ishikawa (knee surgery)

Suspended: Takuma Ominami (one game)

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Kentaro Moriya (thigh strain).

Tosu went down to a 2-0 defeat at FC Tokyo last weekend and are yet to score a goal or gain a single point this season. Spanish forward Fernando Torres was substituted off last week after failing to make an impact again. They now sit bottom of J1 after three games and already look the worst team of the 2019 campaign. Players I speak to tell me there is confusion over tactics and a lack of togetherness in the squad. It shows on the field and the manager/head coach needs to stamp authority on this team fast or he will lose his job.

Jubilo Iwata lost 2-1 at home last Saturday to J1 newcomers Oita Trinita last week, Adailton managing to get on the scoresheet, but to no avail. After managing just 35 goals in 34 league games last season, Jubilo look unlikely to be winning too many games this campaign. I'd give them the edge in this game but since they are away from home and struggling already, they will go for a point.

Tosu scored 29 goals all last J1 season and have yet to score this year. Seven 0-0 draws in 2018. Jubilo have two goals in three league matches so far. Six 0-0 draws in 2018.

Last season Jubilo won at home and drew away when these teams met, while winning both games in 2017.
