MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

---

Jong AZ Alkmaar suffered a heavy 6-2 loss on the road last time out, courtesy of fifth placed Roda. The youngsters were 3-0 behind after only 21 minutes played, but managed to pull one back before half time. However, three more goals by Roda in the 56th, 62nd and 74th minute made it an even more difficult night for Jong AZ Alkmaar. Tijjani Reijnders scored a consolation goal in the 67th minute, but it did little to change the result. Jong AZ Alkmaar have now lost five and won only one of their last six league matches and have shipped a league worst 49 goals this season. It is no surprise they are rooted to the bottom of the table.

Cambuur hosted Go Ahead Eagles last time out and managed to hold them to a 1-1 draw. Kevin van Kippersluis put the club ahead after 33 minutes, but despite playing against only ten men for the final 30 minutes, the hosts conceded an equaliser very late in the league game. Cambuur are currently in eighth place, thanks to 33 points from their 22 league matches played. That recent draw may have frustrated them, but Cambuur have done well of late, winning two and drawing two of their last four league matches.

Cambuur have been excellent away from home as of late, booking ten points from their last four league matches. They also managed to keep Helmond from scoring in their most recent away outing in league action. Jong AZ Alkmaar have the worst home record in the league. They booked just a sole victory, and have lost five straight in the league. This one goes to Cambuur.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE – 0-2

---

Jong AZ Alkmaar have scored just twice in their last four home league matches, failing to hit the back of the net even against lowly Dordrecht in their most recent home league game. Cambuur have scored exactly twice in two of their last three away league wins. Expect this league match to end 2-0 for Cambuur.

HEAD TO HEAD

Cambuur have won all of their three league meetings.
